FAQ

General FAQ

The Equity Pages is an online ethical shopping directory. We started with a problem: it’s easy to find businesses online. It’s harder to find businesses online that are aligned with your values. Our database helps consumers sort through the noise to find businesses that check all of your boxes–literally.

We’re thoughtful about inviting intersectional business-owners to the table. There are hundreds of online directories serving diverse communities, but none of them are as comprehensive and inclusive as ours.

Our DEI Policy

Out Front Magazine is committed to fostering, cultivating and preserving a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion. That’s why we created the Equity Pages—to help consumers easily find places to spend their pink dollars ethically.

By joining the Equity Pages, we’re becoming partners in business committed to equality and inclusion for all. We have high expectations for our partners, that’s why we’ve created the following terms and conditions of use for the Equity Pages. You must consent to all of the below in order to register for an account.

The collective sum of our individual differences, life experiences, knowledge, inventiveness, innovation, self-expression, unique capabilities and talent that our vendors and employees invest in their work represents a significant part of not only our culture, but our reputation and company’s achievement as well.

We advocate on behalf of all queer and minority-owned communities. Like us, you know that trans rights are human rights. You support, embrace and encourage our employees’ differences in age, color, disability, ethnicity, family, marital status, gender identity or expression, language, national origin, physical and mental ability, political affiliation, race, religion, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, veteran status, and other characteristics that make our users powerfully unique.

You have a responsibility to treat others with dignity and respect at all times. All partners are expected to exhibit conduct that reflects inclusion and the advancement of our users. This means we don’t tolerate hate speech. We don’t tolerate harassment, abuse, impersonation or defamation online, in print, or in person.

For this reason, we moderate all Equity Pages postings, photos, deals on offer, and other digital information. We maintain full discretion over adding and removing listings on our community resource. We maintain sole discretion over the evaluation process and rubric used to qualify or disqualify partner organizations. In some limited cases we may invite you to dispute our decision.

If you are found violating our Diversity Policy, your listing will be taken down and you will not receive a refund. You will be able to challenge the accusation, however the final determination will occur on a case by case basis.

We hope it never comes to this, but we recognize there’s a first for everything. Any partner found to have exhibited any inappropriate conduct or behavior against others may be removed from the Equity Pages without a refund and banned for a period of time not less than two years, up to and including a permanent ban on all current and future businesses affiliated with the offending user(s).

By agreeing to these terms and conditions, you agree to all of the above and release Out Front Magazine and the Equity Pages from any and all liability arising from the use of this website.
